A veteran runner of 30 half and full marathons, I run to support the Organization for Autism Research and honor my son Timmy, who is severely autistic.
He is my hero and inspiration. In 2018, I formed Autism Runs, whose members must meet two criteria - a resume of numerous marathons and a love of supporting autism awareness and fundraising for the cause. We run together throughout the year but our penultimate event is the Greater Allegheny Passage Trail Relay, a 150-mile trail race between Cumberland, MD and Pittsburgh. It is our platform for connecting with families impacted by autism. -Chris Buckley, Founder of Autism Runs Learn more about why we live, love, and run to support Autism research. |
