"A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in."
Of course, I'm told these trees will grow quite tall rather quickly. And I'm not comfortable with being called old. But today, both figuratively and literally, we are planting roots in the community for generations to come. These trees were presented to me and my team Autism Runs when we completed the 150-mile Greater Allegheny Passage Trail Relay last fall and today we are paying the gift forward. Timmy's Grove honors my son. It will for generations to come recognize that there was a man named Tim Buckley who brought only love, job, and hope to everyone who was so fortunate to have met him. |
